Fresno Free College Foundation Meetings

Notice of FFCF members and KFCF Subscribers

 There is an opening on the FFCF Board of Directors that will be filled by appointment.  If you are a FFCF or KFCF member, you might be interested in serving on the board of this important  local institution.  Deadline for applications is March 31, 2008.  If you have any questions about us or the position, please call the Foundation office at 559-233-2221.

 FFCF Board of Directors Candidate Application

 Thank you for your interest in candidacy for appointment to the Fresno Free College Foundation Board of Directors to fill a position left vacant due to the resignation of an existing director.  Pursuant to the FFCF bylaws, this vacancy will be filled by a decision of the Board of Directors.  Only members of the Fresno Free College Foundation in good standing will be considered.

 Please write an overall statement of candidacy no longer than 150 words and then answer the questions below.  Include your name, address, phone number and e-mail. 

Applications can be e-mailed to vbedoian at kfcf dot org.  If you also wish to provide a hard copy of the materials in addition, or do not have internet access, you can mail it to FFCF and PO Box 4364, Fresno, CA  93744, or bring it by the office during business hours, to 1449 N. Wishon Ave., Fresno. 

Applications will be accepted from March 1, 2008 through March 31, 2007.  The current Board of Directors will then review the applications and make an appointment to fill the vacancy.

  1. Please provide a brief background statement identifying the skills, experiences and connection with the Fresno Free College Foundation that you would bring to this Board as a director.

  2. Please describe briefly your perception of the value of KFCF 88.1 fm and KPFA to Central California.

  3. What, in your opinion, is the proper role and responsibility of a Board member?

  4. How would you propose to increase the size and diversity of the KFCF listening audience?

  5. How do you envision the FFCF Board working with Pacifica Radio, KPFA and the KFCF community?
