FRESNO FREE COLLEGE FOUNDATION MINUTES OF MEETING OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS September 23, 1998
On September 23, 1998, the Board of Directors of the Fresno Free College Foundation met for a duly noticed regular meeting at the office of the Fresno Free College Foundation. Attending the meeting were directors Rych Withers, Kent Stratford, Catherine Campbell Rand Stover, Stephen Barile and Douglas Noll. Executive Director Vic Bedoian was also present. Douglas Noll chaired the meeting.
By motion made, seconded and unanimously approved, the minutes of the June 23, 1998 meeting were accepted.
Mr. Bedoian reported that Paulino Bernal Evangelism was seeking another frequency as the result of Foundation efforts to protect 88.1-FM in the south valley.
Mr. Bedoian reported on the plans for the 30th anniversary banquet scheduled for the Downtown Club on October 17, 1998.
Mr. Bedoian reported that he had contacted the Fresno Volunteers Bureau.
After discussion, the board directed Mr. Bedoian to pursue a speaking engagement for Mr. Ben Bagdikian. Stephen Barile agreed to coordinate the event.
After discussion, the board agreed to pursue a spring event for the Foundation at the Squaw Valley Herb Garden.
Rand L. Stover reported on the conditions of the radio station. By motion duly made, seconded and unanimously approved, the board agreed to reimburse Mr. Stover for the cost of the new amplifiers at an interest rate of five percent. Ms.,Campbell agreed to draft a promissory note in favor of Mr. Stover.
There being no further business before the board the meeting adjourned at 9:00 pm.
