 In 1970, after Fresno State College President Baxter had security and maintenance personnel invaded the office of the English Department, put locks on the file cabinets, secured the door to the office with a 2x4, and posted a guard at the door, Diana Saleh, a student at then Fresno State College presented the FFCF with her interpretation of this event. |
 A gift from Fresno Artist Patricia (Pat) Moore to the FFCF was her 1965 ink drawing with the message: If a weed is but an unloved flower cannot an enemy be an unloved friend. |
 In 1972 Dr. Dale Bush, a member of the Department of Economics at then Fresno State College and a member of the first FFCF Board of Directors, suggested a drawing by artist Robert Osborn for the front cover of the FFCF's first brochure. |
 This is an image that was produced for the FFCF in early 1970, which reflects the dark and somber inner feelings for many of the Professors and students on the campus. Professor Kenneth A.  Pianist Gina Bauchauer was born in Athens, Greece in 1913 and died in 1976. She performed extensively in the United States and Europe and did many concerts for the troops in WWII. Fresno artist Rollin Pickford drew her performing Prokofieff's 3rd piano concerto and presented it to the FFCF. |
 KFCF began broadcasting the meetings of the Fresno County Board of Supervisors in late 1970 as a public service.Volunteer Chief Engineer Rand L. Stover suggested the idea and proceeded to make it technically possible to send a signal from the board meeting room. Robert Hensley was the first host for the broadcasts. |

This award goes to a person or organization who has "contributed time or financial resources or who has in other ways demonstrated unceasing devotion to the advancement of the arts in Fresno County. Nominees should have made extraordinary contributions to be eligible for this special award." This recognition appears in the FFCF Annual report. The bowl was made by Fresno potter Kathy Wosika. |
